About This Provider
Raising a PDAer is hard, and requires a totally new approach to parenting - one that prioritizes felt safety, trust, and connection. It can feel like an enormous shift, especially for parents who have read all the books, listened to all the experts, and discovered that the advice they're giving does NOT work for our kids. Rise Parenting is here to help you navigate that challenge, learn a new way to parent that truly supports your child's nervous system, and ultimately create more ease in your family and help your kiddo thrive.
We are deeply PDA-informed and -affirming and are here to help. Common issues we support clients with include:
How to build deep trust and connection with your PDAer
How to parent through a nervous system lens, attuned to your child's fluctuating capacity
Low demand parenting - what it is and what it isn't
How to support your child through burnout and recovery
Deciding if and when to unschool / How to select a school that really works for your kid
Getting a neuropsych and/or official diagnosis
Everyday accommodations and supports to help manage your child's nervous system activation
Real-world tools to use during and after meltdowns
How to support your PDAer's sibling(s)
Helping your child understand their neurobiology and advocate for their needs
How to effectively advocate for your child with school, medical providers, etc.
