Mark your calendars for the Next Steps Neurodiversity Expo on Saturday, February 22, 2025, in the Events Center in the Douglas County Fairgrounds! From 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, this comprehensive showcase brings together services and products for neurodivergent individuals and their families, offering direct access to organizations and resources that enhance daily life and well-being. Throughout the day, attend insightful presentations by industry experts covering a variety of topics. The Events Center provides an accessible space to discover the resources and connections you're seeking. There is no cost to attend the Neurodiversity Expo and registration is recommended.
Presentations
The Next Steps Neurodiversity Expo offers a series of free, informative presentations designed to educate and empower individuals and their families. The presentations on February 22, 2025, cover a range of topics from communicating with first responders, the science of mindset and embracing your neurodiverse brilliance. Preregistration is not required, presentations will all be held in Conference Room 1 at the Events Center.

Ali Thompson, a national speaker and former law enforcement professional, leverages her 25-year career and personal experience as a mother of children with disabilities to provide specialized training on investigation techniques and first responder interactions.

Amanda Gold helps visionary misfits break free from shame, unlock their creativity, and build a life that feels like a perfect fit. A neurodivergent coach with a background in addiction recovery and social work, Amanda makes deep transformation engaging and fun—because real growth doesn’t have to feel like a struggle.

Erin Harris is the Founder & Executive Director of Un/Do Mindset, dedicated to making mental health accessible, proactive, and stigma-free. With over 15 years in education and a deep passion for emotional resilience and life skills, Erin brings a dynamic and engaging approach to mental health advocacy, equipping individuals and communities with the tools to thrive.
About the Event
The Next Steps Neurodiversity Expo took place on February 22, 2025, at the Events Center at the Douglas County Fairgrounds in Castle Rock. This region of Colorado sits at a natural crossroads, and the Expo reflected that reach, drawing providers and attendees from Denver, the South Denver suburbs, Douglas County, Castle Rock, and communities extending south toward Colorado Springs. The mix of perspectives and services created a uniquely well rounded resource experience for neurodivergent individuals and their families.
Inside the Events Center, attendees connected with vendors representing a wide range of supports including diagnostic care, mental health services, ADHD coaching, executive functioning programs, space organizing services, educational programs, adult supports, communication and coaching practices, financial planning and community based resources. The Expo also featured a therapy dog program that offered comfort and engagement for attendees of all ages. Throughout the day, families and professionals explored tools and services that support daily life, encourage self advocacy, and strengthen individual and family well being.
The Expo also featured a full schedule od presentations. Attendees heard from experts on topics including effective communication with first responders, emotional resilience, and self acceptance through creativity. These sessions added a valuable learning component to the day and offered practical strategies for families, caregivers, and professionals.

Participants left with strengthened connections, practical tools, and a renewed sense of support.
